Batman: The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
As fan of Superman and Batman I came to know that soon to be released Batman V Superman: The Dawn of Justice is loosely based on the graphic novel Batman - The Dark Knight Returns"
First of all I did not like the art work particularly the face of everybody looks bizarre, but the story is good. I liked the way of United States flag turning into "S" symbol.
And new Robin appearing along side Batman who is only thirteen years old.
Batman has retired and for 15 years the crime rate increases in Gotham. Most feel that Batman has died, the city has been vandalized by Mutants a new crime group. Slowly Batman takes up the gang and one instance he had to fight the mutant leader and I cannot take up that Batman been hurt by him (he is 55 years old in the story). By his intelligence Batman ends the mutant gangs rule but after Gordon's retirement new Police Commissioner takes up the place and issues an arrest order for Batman. Same time the President also asks Superman to intervene and finish of Batman. To add pressure Joker escapes and kills hundreds of people in a talk show. And what Batman will do to Joker when the Police is chasing him. After that episode, the Caped Crusader and Man of Steel collide in Gotham city, what happens to them remains the rest of the story.
I could have enjoyed well if the images were done normally. I give 4 stars.
